Opal Solutions is a dynamic startup in the healthcare sector, offering a suite of software solutions (Interneo, Externeo, Careboard, Formeo) designed for hospitals and clinics. The founder, Xavier, is driven by a mission to give time back to healthcare workers, particularly the overburdened nurses in our hospitals.
Each software solution meets a specific need:
Interneo: Management of nursing interns.
Externeo: Management of temporary staff profiles.
Careboard: Scheduling management within care units.
Formeo: Training management for healthcare workers.
Today, Opal Solutions is already present in over 90% of French-speaking Belgian hospitals and is beginning its journey into the French market. 🇧🇪🇫🇷
The Need 💡
Xavier enlisted the services of Fractiønal to prepare for both dilutive and non-dilutive funding from external stakeholders. This funding is crucial to support Opal Solutions' growth and its expansion into the French market.
Fractiønal’s Support 🤝
Development of a Structured Financial Plan 📊: The primary objective was to define growth assumptions for revenues and costs over the next three years, based on the results of the past three years. This exercise also enabled the creation of cash flow forecasts to demonstrate Opal Solutions' repayment capabilities to potential creditors.
Financial Analysis 📈: This analysis aimed to highlight several key elements:
Growth rate of recurring vs. non-recurring revenue, essential for any investor.
Revenue breakdown by product and their profitability, to define product development priorities.
Revenue breakdown by client, to identify key clients and develop an account management strategy.
Strategic Recommendations 📋: An analysis was conducted to assess Opal Solutions' presence in Belgian hospitals and its penetration level within the care units of each hospital. This analysis helped establish priorities for upsell strategies (increasing the number of equipped care units) and cross-sell strategies (implementing additional products in already equipped hospitals).
