Our collective worked for Weekendesk, an online travel website. They wanted to automate their client invoice generation process. Until now, users requested to receive an invoice, which was then manually prepared by the client's internal business operations team, resulting in huge inefficiencies and a waste of time for the teams involved.

Need

The client's goal was to implement an automated system to eliminate human intervention and increase efficiency. Specifically, our team was tasked with building the connection between their Microsoft Navision-based CRM and their Google account, where the invoice templates were hosted, in order to automatically populate the invoices. Lastly, we had to construct a mechanism that would automatically send the invoices to clients via email.

Achievements

To meet the client's needs, our team carried out the following actions:

• Using Apps Script to retrieve form responses on Google

• Connecting to the Microsoft Navision API

• Using Zapier to manage invoice generation in different languages, send it by email
