We needed help with designing, implementing and verifying a solution for an embarrassingly parallel, though very demanding, computational problem. The amount of work that had to be done was overwhelming and with only a few months to release I honestly didn’t believe it would be possible to make it in time. We reached out to several consulting firms looking for suitable candidates that could help us solving our problem, but it turned out that it was extremely difficult to find someone with the courage and capabilities to tackle the challenge. Then Henrik appeared. It was clear from the beginning that Henrik is not an average programmer, he’s one of those brilliant guys that lives and breathes programming, for whom obstacles are just fun challenges that eventually will be conquered. I’ve never before met a person with such deep knowledge in so many aspects of software engineering and computer science, and even agile methodologies. On top of that Henrik also has a tremendous drive and everybody around him just have to pace up, there is no alternative. I must say that it was an indulgence to have Henrik in my team. However, I soon had to share him with other parts of my organization that wanted to get access to his expertise. I just accepted that, because I could see why. So did we succeed with our project? Of course, Henrik just nailed it. I truly believe just a few persons in the world would have.
